The actor returns signing amount after suffering major injuries while playing a cricket match. Srihari is all set to replace him
Actor
Sonu Sood, who suffered major injuries while playing for Mumbai Heroes in the CCL match in Dubai, has been replaced by actor Srihari in the Telugu version of Zanjeer, starring Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra. The actor who sustained six fractures on his leg recently underwent a major surgery and will be out of action for sometime.
When contacted, the actor, who is currently recuperating post the surgery, confirmed the news. As soon as I sustained those injuries, I knew they were bad. I immediately texted my producers informing them of my impending surgery. The doctors told me that Ill be out of action for six weeks. Its not possible for the makers of Zanjeer to wait for me as they are on a tight schedule. It was only right that I backed out, informed the actor.
While Sood has no clue about who will replace him in the film, he is positive of the actor doing a good job with role. I thought it is only fair to return the signing amount to the producers of Zanjeer. Although I have no clue wholl be playing the role, Im positive the actor will do justice to the character.
Meanwhile, the actor who is recuperating post his surgery, is busy conducting his business from the hospital bed. Like I said earlier, the first thing I did was inform all my producers that Ill be out of action for six weeks. I cant expect them to stop production for me. But Prabhu Dheva has decided to shift the dates around for me. Once Im back on my feet, Ill start work on Prabhus next, said the actor.
Sources from the sets of Zanjeer meanwhile confirm that the makers approached Srihari, who is currently shooting for the flick.
